Sweet And Sour Meatballs Recipe
These are classic Oriental sweet & sour meatballs the easy way which can be served as an appetizer, or over rice as an entree. I obtained this recipe from an Angel Food Ministries flyer.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb fully cooked meatballs
  • 1 1/2 c fresh-squeezed orange juice with pulp
  • 1 c fresh pineapple (or 1 medium can, drained)
  • 2 t orange zest
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 t cornstarch
  • 4 t soy sauce
  • 2 t red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 t ground ginger
  • 1 medium red, green, yellow or orange sweet pepper, cut into 1/2" pieces

Directions
  1. Place meatballs on baking pan or cookie sheet. Bake in 350ยบ oven for 10 - 15 minutes, or until warm through.
  2. In a large saucepan stir together pineapple, orange juice, honey, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar and ginger.
  3. Cook and stir until pineapple is tender and sauce is thickened. Cook and stir for two minutes more.
  4. Add sweet pepper and meatballs to saucepan; cook and stir until heated through.
  5. Serve with toothpicks as an appetizer, or serve over rice as a main dish.
