Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 1 pound sharp cheese (New York cream best)
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • Cayenne pepper

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Have cheese and butter at room temperature.
  3. Cream thoroughly.
  4. Add flour mustard and pepper.
  5. Roll into small balls, 3/4" in diameter.
  6. Bake on cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Serve piping hot.

Sounds gooood. With a dough that short, I think I would roll it out and cut sticks (with a zig-zag cutter, of course). I bet some caraway seeds or poppy seeds would work too.

Want a good laugh? I made these cheese puffs and they are very tasty, but I mis-read your recipe and put an entire Pound of butter in them! They were flat as pancakes but delicious! lol I will do them again and make them better.
