Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat a frying pan or skillet on medium heat
  • cut a hole using a plastic milk cap right in the center of your bread
  • now lay this piece of bread in the middle of your lighlty buttered skillet
  • and then gently crack your egg into the middle of the bread placing it into the cut out hole
  • while the egg is cooking, check the bottom gently for doneness and turn over with a spatula, when egg appears to be cooked around edges but middle is still yolky...then it is done...serve immediately with fork.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • this is yummy goodness...make 2 you will want another and bacon goes great with these

    In the movie V for vendetta this recipe is made ever since then I have been making them just as you described here along with steamed asparagus and some times smoked salmon.
    It is always a hit.
