Very Easy French Bread Recipe

Ingredients

2 packages yeast

2 1/4 cup water 90-100 degrees

6 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp salt

Ice Cubes, just a handful

Directions

In a food processor, add yeast, 1/4 cup water, whirl to combine

Add flour and salt, process

Add water slowly to form a ball

Remove and knead on floured surface for a few minutes

Place in a bowl and allow to rise until doubled, about an hour

Divide in half, and form two loaves

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes

**The secret to a nice crusty exterior is to throw a handful of ice on the bottom of the hot oven when you first put the bread in. This creates steam which develops the crust we all love on french bread.
