How to make it

  • Peel and thinly slice onions. Place in large bowl.
  • Combine boiling water, vinegar and sugar. Pour over onions.
  • Cover and chill overnight.
  • Drain completely.
  • Whisk together mayonnaise and celery salt. Combine with drained onions.
  • Cover and chill 2 to 3 hours.
  • Serve with crackers.
