Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a Dutch oven, saute the ground beef until no pink remains, breaking up the beef as it cooks.
  • Spoon off any grease and add in the onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes until tender.
  • Add in the 3 cups of water along with the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, seasoning, bay leaves, soy sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well.
  • Place a lid on the pot and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add the elbow macaroni, stir well, return lid to the pot and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, remove the bay leaves, and allow the goulash to sit for 15-30 minutes before serving.

Great recipe. My hubby loves goulash and Paula Dean knows her way around a kitchen. Thanks.
