I have seen this recipe around from time to time, I suppose that Bisquick or Jiffy mix will work as well but this is a must if you are planning on making that Wild Onion Bread, It too originally came from this 25 page cookbook back in 1981 when I still smoked. Read more Buy two packs of cigarettes and get a cook book. That being said it has some fantastic recipes in it. They come from the Chuckwagon Cooking from Marlboro Country. I have tried them all and can say that they are very good. They are from old chuckwagon cooks (well that is how Philip Morris billed it and you know that a big tobacco company would not lie to you.) Ingredients
- 2 Cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 TBS sugar shopping list
- 1 TBS baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/3 Cup lard or shortening shopping list
How to make it
- Sift or mix dry ingredients
- Cut in lard till mixture resembles fine meal
