My favorite thing to do with day old bread...I use whatever I've thrown in the freezer, hot dog buns, homemade dinner rolls, but French bread is the best.

Ingredients
  • 1 (16 oz) loaf French bread - cut into 1 in. cubes
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Caramel Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk (but best with heavy cream, tsk, tsk;)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tb. vanilla

Directions
  1. Pudding: Grease 9x13in. pan, add bread to pan and sprinkle with white chocolate chips and toffee bits.
  2. Heat milk and butter. Add sugar. Mix until melted
  3. Pour small amount of milk mixture into eggs. Stir constantly, add eggs to milk mixture. Add salt, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over bread and white chocolate chips. Bake 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.
  4. Sauce: Combine butter and brown sugar. Cook until sugar melts. Stir in milk. Bring to a boil. Stir in vanilla.
