Candy Bar Cake

- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 large plain chocolate candy bar shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 2-1/2 cups sifted flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- Frosting: shopping list
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 stick oleo shopping list
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar then add eggs one at a time beating after each.
- Melt candy bar in double boiler then add to egg mixture.
- Add soda to buttermilk then fold in buttermilk alternatively with flour.
- Stir in vanilla, salt and nuts then pour into greased floured tube pan.
- Bake at 325 for 70 minutes then allow cool slightly before pouring frosting over top.
- For frosting combine milk, sugar and oleo in saucepan and cook 2 minutes.
- After mixture begins to bubble remove from heat and stir in chips then beat until melted.
- Cool slightly then pour over warm cake.
