Ingredients

8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cups light brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla, extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9"x13" baking pan.

Set aside.

In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Thoroughly combine with the butter-sugar mixture.

Fold in the nuts.

Spread the mixture in the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.

Cut into 2 1/2" squares when cool.

Store in an airtight container.

Makes 20 brownies.
