How to make it

  • Soak dhal for about half an hour and boil it in pressure cooker.
  • Grind coconut,cumin seeds,small onions,turmeric powder,salt and curry leaves together and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds and let it pop
  • Now add curry leaves and dry red chillies
  • Add the ground items n stir for 2 mts
  • Now add the boiled dhal and 100 ml water
  • Cook covered for 5 mts.
