Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, combine beef, 1/2 cup sauce, egg and bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Line a 13x9 inch baking pan with waxed paper. Shape meat into a 12x8 inch rectangle on the paper. Combine 3/4 cup of the cheese with the parsley. Sprinkle the mixture lengthwise down the center of the meat, leaving about 1/2 inch border on each edge. Starting at one of the longer sides, lift the waxed paper to roll the meat jelly-roll style over the filling. Remove the waxed paper. Pinch the meat at ends and seam to seal. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Pour remaining sauce over meat and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until sauce is heated through and cheese has melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
