Spicey Butterscotch Chip Cookies

- 1 (18.25 ounce) box spice cake mix shopping list
- 2 tablespoons margarine, softened shopping list
- 2 tablespoons water shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1 cup butterscotch chips shopping list
- (or you can do 1/2 cup butterscotch and 1/2 cup chocolate, both ways are good) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, margarine, water, egg, and egg whites.
- Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until blended.
- Add oats and beat until well blended. Stir in chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
- Bake 8 minutes or until a few air bubbles begin to appear on top of the cookies. (The cookies will not appear to be done; they will continue cooking as they cool.)
- Carefully remove cookies with a flat spatula and cool completely on wire rack.
