Blue Cheese And Shallot Bread

- 1/2c chopped shallots shopping list
- 3Tbs butter shopping list
- 2c all purpose flour shopping list
- 1Tbs sugar shopping list
- 21/2tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1tsp salt shopping list
- 1tsp ground mustard shopping list
- 1/4c cold butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1c milk shopping list
- 3/4c crumbled blue cheese shopping list
- 2Tbs grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In small skillet,saute shallots in butter till tender;set aside
- In a large bowl,combine flour,sugar,baking powder,salt and mustard. Cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl,whisk egg and milk. Stir into crumb mixture just till moistened. Fold in cheeses and reserved shallot mixture.
- Transfer to a greased 8x4" loaf pan . Bake at 325 for 50-60 mins. or till toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool for 10 mins before removing from pan to wire rack.
