Grilled Almond Chicken with Savory Plum Sauce

- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup cornstarch shopping list
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1 large garlic clove minced shopping list
- 2 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into strips shopping list
- 2-1/2 cups finely chopped almonds lightly toasted shopping list
- 2 tablespoons minced dried or fresh parsley shopping list
- 4 fresh plums halved and pitted shopping list
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon shopping list
- savory Plum Sauce: shopping list
- 1 cup plum preserves shopping list
- 1/2 cup prepared chutney chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic minced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice shopping list
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce shopping list
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger shopping list
How to make it
- Combine egg, cornstarch, soy sauce and garlic in plastic bag.
- Add chicken pieces and marinate 15 minutes then drain well.
- Place almonds and parsley in plastic bag.
- Place chicken pieces a few at a time in almond mixture.
- Shake thoroughly.
- Grill over medium direct heat for 8 minutes.
- Spoon plum sauce over chicken.
- To make sauce combine all ingredients in saucepan.
- Cook and stir over medium until preserves melt.
