Easy Crockpot Swiss Steak Recipe
I got this recipe from another recipe group but I tweaked it a bit..Its very good and economical (spelling?)

Ingredients
  • 3 lb. boneless chuck steak ..cut up ( I used about 2 lbs... trim fat)
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour (I used 2 tlbs)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes ( I used petite dice)
  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion Mushroom Soup Mix

Directions
  1. In slow cooker, toss steak with flour. .. (I put flour on cut up steak and browned in small amount of oil then put in crockpot...)
  2. Combine other ingredients and put over steak...
  3. Cook covered on LOW 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours or until steak
  4. is tender. Serve, if desired, with crusty Italian bread. (I served mine

I do this but I haven't tried the tomatoes in it. Sounds very good.


I have made this both with and without tomatoes and both are excellent. Five forks at least and a big smile :)
Of course crusty bread is a must thank you for reminding me to make some more.
