Crock Pot Delite Recipe
Here's how you can use that last couple cans of beer without feeling guilty. (You'll get to drink a half can for your efforts!)

Ingredients
  • 2-3 lb. roast, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beer
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • a little water
  • cooked rice or noodles (optional)

Directions
  1. Coat beef cubes with 1/2 cup flour.
  2. Brown in melted margarine. Drain off excess fat.
  3. In crockpot, combine browned meat with onions, salt, pepper, garlic, and beer.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours until the meat is tender.
  5. Turn control to high.
  6. Dissolve the remaining 1/4 cup flour in a small amount of water (it will look like heavy cream).
  7. Stir this mixture into the crockpot mixture.
  8. Cook on high for 30-40 minutes until thickened.
  9. Serve as is or on rice or noodles.
