How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 then beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs 2 at a time then add vanilla and mix well then add chocolate syrup.
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and stir into chocolate mixture.
  • Add nuts then pour into well greased jelly roll pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake 22 minutes then remove to pan and cool completely.
  • For frosting combine margarine, milk and sugar in saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir to mix then bring to a boil for 30 seconds.
  • Add chocolate pieces then stir until mixture thickens slightly and cools.
  • Add vanilla then spread frosting over cooled brownies and cut into bars.
