Beef and Stout Pie

- Splash olive oil shopping list
- 500 Grams Sirlion steak or cheaper cut shopping list
- 3 garlic cloves shopping list
- 4 scallions shopping list
- 1 Bottle stout shopping list
- 1 tbsp beef boilion shopping list
- 1 Cup water shopping list
- 4 carrots shopping list
- 6 mushrooms shopping list
- 4 Medium potatoes shopping list
- TT salt shopping list
- TT pepper shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp oregano shopping list
- 4 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 4 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 1 Recipe Short Crust Pie Dough shopping list
How to make it
- In a stock pot brown Steak and chop garlic and
- scallions in olive oil. Deglaze the pan with
- bottle of porter then and water and beef
- boillion. Cut potatoes and carrots into bitesized
- pieces and add to stock pot add Oregano and salt
- and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes and
- seperate beef and vegis from sauce. Set sauce
- aside. In a medium sauce pan melt butter and add
- flour to create a rouxe. Add sauce and thicken to
- gravy consitency. Split Pie crust into 2 portion
- and blind bake Bottom crust in a 180 Celcius oven
- for 15 minutes. Add Beef and vegtables to pie
- then pour in Porter gravy. Top with crust and
- bake till top crust is browned.
