I had a good steak and ale pie in britian so I decided to make my own recipe for one Tell me what you think

Ingredients
  • Splash Olive oil
  • 500 Grams Sirlion steak or cheaper cut
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 4 Scallions
  • 1 Bottle stout
  • 1 tbsp Beef boilion
  • 1 Cup water
  • 4 Carrots
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 4 Medium Potatoes
  • TT Salt
  • TT Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Oregano
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 Recipe Short Crust Pie Dough

Directions
  1. In a stock pot brown Steak and chop garlic and
  2. scallions in olive oil. Deglaze the pan with
  3. bottle of porter then and water and beef
  4. boillion. Cut potatoes and carrots into bitesized
  5. pieces and add to stock pot add Oregano and salt
  6. and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes and
  7. seperate beef and vegis from sauce. Set sauce
  8. aside. In a medium sauce pan melt butter and add
  9. flour to create a rouxe. Add sauce and thicken to
  10. gravy consitency. Split Pie crust into 2 portion
  11. and blind bake Bottom crust in a 180 Celcius oven
  12. for 15 minutes. Add Beef and vegtables to pie
  13. then pour in Porter gravy. Top with crust and
  14. bake till top crust is browned.
