Glazed blueBerry Bread

- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 3/4 cup water shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries shopping list
- 1/4 cup raspberry preserves shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease & flour a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
- In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder & baking soda.
- In small bowl, beat together egg, water & oil; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
- Pour into pan. Spoon preserves over batter; cut through batter with a knife to swirl. Bake for 65-70 minutes until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to a wire rack

Now this sounds good - but why raspberry preserve and not fresh or frozen, or can you substitute it?
