Green Beans With Shallots And Balsamic Vinegar Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large shallot minced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar plus 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Top and tail beans and leave whole.
  2. Drop into a large pot of boiling salted water and cook just 5 minutes.
  3. Immediately drain and run cold water over to stop the cooking.
  4. To serve put 1 tablespoon butter in a frying pan set over medium heat.
  5. Sauté shallot for a couple of minutes then toss beans into the mixture.
  6. As you cook them put the remaining butter and vinegar in a small saucepan.
  7. Heat over medium heat for 2 minutes.
  8. Immediately stir into the beans and sprinkle with pepper and serve.

I think I might make this tonight. I only have edamame and frozen green beans, I think it might be awesome that way too, I will let you know.
