Artichokes In Lemon Butter Sauce Recipe
since we are talking about artichokes.... this one in the crockpot for easy preparation, I usually double the recipe and cover all with enough water in the crockpot

Ingredients
  • 2 large fresh artichokes
  • 6 cups hot water or enough to cover
  • 4 small lemons, sliced thin
  • Lemon Butter Sauce, multiply as needed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3 tbs lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Seasoned salt

Directions
  1. With sharp knife, slice about 1" off top of each
  2. artichoke; cut off stem near base.
  3. With scissors, trimabout 1/2" off top of each leaf.
  4. With sharp knife, halve each artichoke vertically; then scoop out and discard the fuzzy center of choke.
  5. Place artichoke halves in your crock pot; add hot water
  6. and lemon slices.
  7. Cover and cook on HIGH 4 to 5 hrs. OR until done.
  8. Drain and serve with Lemon Butter Sauce,
  9. For sauce: Combine all ingredients.

I absoley love artichoke's this is a keeper!


Love artichokes, and this recipe sounds so easy and scrumptious!


This sounds great! Though I love to eat artichokes, I've always been a little intimidated by the preparation. This looks like something I could handle, and get over my 'choke-prep fear. :-)
