Oh boy! I love this cocktail-at least i THINK I love it--when in New Orleans a few years ago.my friend and i went to the Carousel bar at thehotel famous for this drink--the Monteleone-after 2 of these apiece!(taste mild when you sip it slowly) -we didnt know if the revolving bar was doing it on its own,or we were 2 dizzy dames!! We did stagger our way back to our hotel-preceeded to fall asleep for 2 hours! it was only 7;00pm when we awoke-so off we went -back to the streets! love that town-and what memories this recipe brought back! thanks! Barb

This is also a classic "Supper Club" cocktail. Haven't had one of those since I ate a an old fashion Supper Club in Wisconsin... Thanks for posting it... ;-)

Slap my mouth and color me happy. This will be made at a cocktail party in Canfield Ohio very soon. Thanks for another classic recipe my friend.^5

Love anything from New Orleans! great post!

Ya gotta love the memories this brought back, now don't you. Oh, Barb, you made me laugh so hard! We all have one of those stories.. mine involves my first date with my (now) hubby. I won't even dare to go into it! Thanks for lovin' this!

Allright, jim! Isn't it pathetic that there are no Supper Clubs any more and even the Cocktail Party is a dying breed. I'm happy for your good memories of this drink and hope you plan on making it for yourself to enjoy very soon!

Consider yourself slapped, bobby! My happy color is burnt sienna. That OK with you? I fully understand that you are having a cocktail party without me and I forgive you for that BUT be sure to read Barb's remarks above before plying the Sazeracs too freely/quickly. Thanks for your five, my friend.

I'm with you, midge! I'd rate this one a five also. Thanks!
