Chevere Fig Spread

- 3/4 cup snipped dry figs shopping list
- 3 oz goat cheese crumbled shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 3 Tbs fresh snipped basil shopping list
- 2Tbs milk shopping list
- 1 Tbs fresh snipped thyme shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts toasted shopping list
- ground black pepper to taste shopping list
- crackers or sliced baguettes shopping list
How to make it
- Pour boiling water over figs to cover and let stand 15 mins and drain
- Stir together, goat cheese, milk, sour cream and herbs
- Add drained figs, stir into mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in half the nuts.
- Cover and chill 24 hours for best flavor
- Sprinkle with remaining nuts and a bit more of the thyme
- Makes 1 1/2 cups or 12, 2 Tbs servings each
