How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients in an airtight container that just holds it.
  • Shake well and store in cool dry place.

  • Obviously, if you don't use this sort of seasoning that often, make it in smaller batches. The measurements are pretty easy to divide. Works great in chili, sloppy joes, tacos, nachoes, soups, marinades, etc etc. I'm sure you'll find uses for it. I'd like to hear of some if you think of anything really crazy!

    Exactly what I was hoping for to replace a store bought mixes. Very flavorful and even better than the mix. Love that there is no salt. Got a family member on restricted sodium diet.

    This came out great! I have to admit I cut back on the Cayenne and it was still pretty powerful! I think this is a lifetime supply! Thanks.

    Now, why did I think of that??? LOL I buy taco seasoning in the can instead of the pouch because I use it in so many things....sad thing is, I buy all the stuff that goes in it too!! Glad I found this!

    I'm thinking of making a taco gift basket for my brother and his wife for Christmas with a jar of homemade taco seasoning. They eat a lot of processed salty foods, so I am just trying to help them out without them knowing. This one sounds perfect. I always buy my seasonings in bulk (I love Costco), so this won't be a problem for me! I made some Curry Rice Shrimp last night...it wasn't the best - I should have made those Shrimp Burgers. They are yummy!!
