Baked Shrimp Recipe
Perfect for when the gang's all here! Make sure you have plenty of hot fresh bread for sopping.

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon liquid crab boil
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper-or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper-or to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic-minced
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano-or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons salt- or to taste
  • 5 pounds medium deveined but unpeeled shrimp-raw

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place shrimp in large baking pan. If necessary, use two 9" x 13" baking pans. Spread out so that shrimp are overlapping as little as possible.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine remaining ingredients.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes after butter melts.
  5. Pour mixture over shrimp.
  6. Bake 10 minutes, stir shimp, then bake 10 additional minutes or until all of the shrimp is pink and firm. Do not overbake.
  7. Serve hot in bowls with your favorite bread.
  8. Suggestion:
  9. After squeezing lemons,place them in pan for extra flavor.

How do you devein a shrimp without peeling it first? Hmmm...Sounds delish for sure!--Kn0x--


You cut through the back of the shrimp and remove the vein that way. The shell of a fresh shrimp is not very tough to cut through. Around here, you can buy your shrimp that way. It's called "easy-peel" shrimp. :)


I didn't know about deveining the unpeeled shrimp either. The spices here sound so good! I just know this would come out delicious!
