This burger WILL win any non-beef burger competition. I'm letting the "cat out of the bag" by sharing this recipe with all of you. It is easy to prepare and it will make your tastebuds dance!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp black ground pepper
  • 1/2 jar (8 oz) Medium Stadium Salsa
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp or more basil
  • 1 tsp or more seasoning salt
  • 1 large red tomato
  • 4 large wheat buns
  • butter
  • shredded or leaf lettuce
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1/2 cup mayonaise

Directions
  1. Preheat oven broiler to 500 degrees
  2. In large mixing bowl add turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, celery seed, pepper, Stadium Salsa and chili powder
  3. Mix ingredients thoroughly with hands in large mixing bowl
  4. Form four patties from mixture
  5. Place the four patties on presprayed broiling pan and place in oven
  6. Broil each side of burger for approximately 6 minutes until browned and juices run clear, lightly sprinkling seasoning salt and pepper on both sides
  7. Butter wheat buns and place under broiler until golden brown (approx 2 min)
  8. Mix with fork (pitted and skinned) avocado with mayonaise and spread on toasted wheat bun
  9. Top burgers with thinly sliced tomato, sprinkle basil on thinly sliced mozzarella cheese and finally add crisp lettuce
