St Pattys Crock Pot Corned Beef Recipe
Thought I would post an easy delicious recipe for St. Patrick's Day. Goes great with homemade cornbread, roasted new potatoes,and a beer or three!

Ingredients
  • 3 medium onions, sliced
  • small head of cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 3-4 medium sized carrots, cut into chunks
  • 3-4 pound corned beef brisket
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 2 tsp spicy brown mustard
  • dash of allspice
  • 3 whole cloves

Directions
  1. Place sliced onions, cabbage wedges, and carrots in crock pot.
  2. Trim any excess fat from beef (L ike to leave a little)and place in crockpot on top of veggies.
  3. In a bowl, combine cider , brown sugar, orange zest,mustard, allspice and cloves.
  4. Put over meat and veggies.
  5. Cover, cook on low heat for about 8-10 hours.
  6. Done when meat pulls apart easily with a fork.

Harley: I forgot all about this recipe. I am making tons of CB&C for the restaurant but for home I am making your crock pot version. It sounds amazing. I am going to ride my bike for 10 miles today so I can drink and eat all day. SLAINTE!!!!
