Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat skillet to a medium heat while you:
  • Peel & slice bananas (either in circles or lengthwise)
  • Put bits of butter in the heated pan, then place bananas in it.
  • Let them simmer till lightly browned (they can suddenly start to burn, so keep the temp from getting too hot), then flip them over to cook the other side.
  • By this time, they'll start to turn a bit translucent and get a bit mushy.
  • Drizzle maple syrup over the bananas, let the syrup heat and immediately move them to a plate to cool off a bit. Syrup will be very hot, so be careful not to burn your tender little lips!
  • Sprinkle spices and toasted pecans over the tops of them, serve on pancakes, waffles, french toast, oatmeal, or just eat them as is.
  • You could also use your favorite jam instead of syrup, and it will be just as yummy.
