This is a dish you put in the pot and leave it alone. It's great over rice and the leftovers can be used to start soup.

I really like the sounds of this one! I've never seen a recipe where you just "stew the meat" and don't really add much in terms of seasoning.
I'll have to try this one some time.
Thanks for posting it!
I'm glad I "subsribed to you"!
Doesn't that make you feel special?

This recipe came from a recipe that called for a roast. Well, with the economy as it is, stew meat is cheaper than roast. It also called for 1/2 cup of tomato sauce but I thought the Fire Roasted tomatoes would be better. And then there was the celery which I didn't have so I left it out. I took some over to 2 of my food testers and they both wanted more. It's a cheap dish with a lot of flavor. The bell peppers, onions, steak sauce and Worcestershire give it a lot of flavor. The original recipe called for 2 tsp. Worcestershire and 1 tsp. of steak sauce. I added more. And if you want to you can add potatoes and carrots.
