Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Put brown sugar, butter and whipping cream into saucepan and bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly
  • Remove from heat
  • Stir in nuts and flour
  • Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
  • Spoon batter by tablespoons 3 inches apart
  • Spread batter into circle
  • Bake for 6-8 minutes or until edges are light brown
  • Remove from oven and cool slightly
  • When cool enough to hold their shape, lift off with spatula and flip cookies over and wrap around something round (I have used the handle of a wooden spoon until I got round dowels from Home Depot)
  • ~If cookies become too crisp to roll, reheat for 30 seconds or so~
  • These cookies are great on their own but I have dipped the ends into melted chocolate and let harden
  • Then filled with whipped cream right before serving

I love lace cookies - so delicate, and they melt in your mouth. I have to try your recipe with the dipping chocolate suggestion...takes them one more step beyond heaven!
