Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 medium sized onions,roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 to 3/4 Kg. boneless chicken meat
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds,ground
  • 1 1/2 tbsp red chillies powder
  • 1 tbsp salt or to taste
  • Pinch of nigella seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 2 onions,cut in cubes
  • 2 tomatoes,cut in cubes
  • 2 Capsicum,cut in cubes
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

Directions
  1. Put the onion and little water in a blender or food processor and blend to a smooth paste.
  2. Heat oil in pan on medium heat.Pour in the onion paste from the blender.
  3. Stir and fry for 5-10 minutes until it is golden brown.
  4. Add ginger garlic,turmeric and chicken and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until chicken changes its colour.
  5. Add ground cumin seeds,red chillies powder,salt,nigella seeds and stir for a minute.
  6. Add tomato puree and cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is tender and the oil begins to separate.
  7. Add the cubed onion,capsicum and tomatoes.Add little water,cover and cook on very low heat till the vegetables soften lightly.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala on top.
  9. Serve with rice/naan.

Juels...As Joe said,Capsicum is bell pepper which are available in many colors.I used green colored.They'are not very spicy,a little bit sweet in taste.

Joe...Nigella seeds are common in Pakistani cooking,used in curries and vegetables.I think they are also known as black caraway or black onion seeds.
