Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Combine, using a wooden spoon, the butter, sugars, water and eggs.
  2. Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and baking soda.
  3. Stir, with spoon, the flour into the butter and sugar mixture, just until combined.
  4. Chill dough for in freezer for 15 minutes, don't leave it in too long or you won't be able to make balls.
  5. I have a big enough freezer, so I fill my 4 cookie sheets and place them in the freezer.
  6. You could chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or overnight (Make cookie balls and freeze solid, then store in a container. That way you can make just a tray at a time or throw in the toaster oven.).
  7. While chilling, pre-heat oven to 375*F.
  8. Bake 12-14 minutes from chilled.
  9. Bake 8-10 if you skip the chilling.
