SOUTHWESTERN SOUP This is a recipe I have made for at least the past twenty years. It is very good.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 can undiluted tomato soup
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 ounce can green chilies drained
  • 1 can hominy drained
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried cilantro

Directions
  1. Sauté pepper and onion in oil for 3 minutes then add remaining ingredients.
  2. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
