This is my "signature" dessert. I get invited to parties just so this dessert will be there!

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 extra large eggs OR 2 jumbo eggs OR 3 large eggs OR 3 medium eggs
  • (Too many eggs makes the Chewies like cake instead of chewy.)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions
  1. Melt the butter in a large bowl.
  2. Add each ingredient, one at a time, in the order listed, stirring (by hand) after each ingredient is added.
  3. Pour into a GLASS 9 x 13 inch baking dish that has been greased & floured.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees
