Baked Chicken Breast In Crockpot Recipe

Ingredients

6 boneless chicken breasts, in halves

2 tbsp butter

1 (10-3/4 oz) can of cream of celery soup

1/2 cup dry Sherry

1 large onion, sliced and halved

1 small jar of roasted red peppers, drained well and sliced

1 tsp tarragon or rosemary

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp garlic power or chopped garlic

to taste: paprika, parsley, salt, pepper and thyme

8 oz oc canned mushrooms, drained well

3 heaping tbsp sour cream

Directions

Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry; place in crockpot

In saucepan; combine remaining ingredients and heat until smooth and hot.

Place onions, peppers and mushrooms over chicken

Pour sauce over all

Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours

Optional: towards end of cooking you can add boiled potatoes

Can substitute cream of celery with cream of chicken or mushroom if you like.

This sounds great and I have a couple red peppers and have a container of mushrooms to use up. I don't have sour cream but I'm sure the yogurt will work especially since I dont have butter either.
