Baked Chicken Breast In Crockpot Recipe
A creamy chicken dish from the crockpot with everything you need except the side dish. Put it all in and continue doing what you want without being in the kitchen all day. They will love it!

Ingredients
  • 6 boneless chicken breasts, in halves
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 (10-3/4 oz) can of cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 cup dry Sherry
  • 1 large onion, sliced and halved
  • 1 small jar of roasted red peppers, drained well and sliced
  • 1 tsp tarragon or rosemary
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic power or chopped garlic
  • to taste: paprika, parsley, salt, pepper and thyme
  • 8 oz oc canned mushrooms, drained well
  • 3 heaping tbsp sour cream

Directions
  1. Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry; place in crockpot
  2. In saucepan; combine remaining ingredients and heat until smooth and hot.
  3. Place onions, peppers and mushrooms over chicken
  4. Pour sauce over all
  5. Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours
  6. Optional: towards end of cooking you can add boiled potatoes
  7. Can substitute cream of celery with cream of chicken or mushroom if you like.

This sounds great and I have a couple red peppers and have a container of mushrooms to use up. I don't have sour cream but I'm sure the yogurt will work especially since I dont have butter either.
