How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375*F
  • Prepare muffin pan with liners or butter & flour

  • In large bowl, combine:
  • all-purpose flour
  • whole wheat flour
  • baking powder
  • baking soda
  • salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ============================
  • Mix together well.
  • ==================****
  • Add to the dry ingredients:
  • mashed bananas
  • sour cream
  • egg whites
  • canola oil
  • vanilla
  • wheat germ
  • melted butter
  • Stir until just moistened
  • Stir in the almonds
  • Spoon batter into muffin pan.
  • Add melted butter and mix until crumbly
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove to wire rack to cool.
