Ingredients

How to make it

  • Color 6 eggs for til color desired very carefully. Allow to dry
  • Cut top 1/4 with serrated knife & put raw egg in bowl for later use
  • Rinse eggs out & with a very pointed knife, go in the eggs & carefully poke a hole in the bottom.
  • Put a very small amount of soil in egg, add plant & cover with soil.
  • Place in egg carton.
  • This is where you can get creative. I used a wire basket I found in garage and lined it with heavy duty plastic. Placed 1/2 a cardboard egg carton in the basket, added moss to carton and in basket. placed little "welcome" bunny in basket to sit flat.
  • placed 3 eggs here and there.
  • Drizzle water into planted egg. you don't want to flood

This is adorable. I saw another version via Martha Stewart several years ago in which you plant grass seed in a similar set up a few weeks before Easter and "hide" the eggs in the grass. I like the her idea though.
