How to make it

  • Beat cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in milk. Add dry pudding mixes; mix well. Stir in 2 c of the whipped topping.
  • Place 24 of the wafers in 2-1/2-qt bowl*; drizzle with half of the coffee. Top with half each of the pudding mixture and the chocolate**. Repeat all layers.
  • Top with remaining whipped topping and fruit. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • * Any large bowl will do, but the classic Tiramisu or Trifle bowl makes for the most elegant presentation, as well as making the preparation easier.
  • ** Microwave unwrapped chocolate squares, one at a time, on HIGH for 10 seconds. Grate with the large holes of a cheese shredder.
