Ingredients

How to make it

  • Keep wonton wrappers covered as you work, as they dry out quickly.
  • Place a wonton wrapper on work surface with one corner facing you.
  • Roll into a cone.
  • Cut the open end with scissors until edges are even.
  • Place a 1-inch ball of rolled foil in opening.
  • Place cones seam side down on greased baking sheet.
  • Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • In small bowl, combine butter, 1/2 teaspoon dillweed and garlic salt.
  • Brush over baked cones. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
  • Remove foil balls.
  • In bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, lemon juice and remaining dill. Mix well.
  • Fold in crab.
  • Transfer to zip-lock bag. Press out air and seal.
  • Cut off one corner of bag.
  • "Pipe" mixture into cooled cones.

These are great! I decided to keep the pastry as a funnel shape rather than trim up the end. It made a better "holder" for the filling. And putting the filling in the zip bag was a really good idea - time saving and less mess. Top notch 5*'s if anybody's counting!

I laid them out on a large round black tray. I garnished the tray with cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley sprigs and curled lemon slices.

I'd like to know about the presentation. Did you lay them on a platter or serve them upright. If you served them upright, tell us how. Any suggestions from all of you would be usefull!
