Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook pasta according to package directions in well salted water.
  • When pasta is about 1/2 cooked, add frozen peas.
  • Bring water back to a boil and let pasta and peas cook together for the last several minutes, until pasta is al dente and peas are bright green and sweet.
  • Drain, leaving the pasta a bit wet and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Add pesto and toss well, coating everything with pesto and getting it in all the lovely curves of the pasta.
  • Serve with freshly grated parmesan cheese and cracked pepper on top.
  • It's just that easy!
  • *this recipe uses a whole box of pasta, but you could easily adjust and make less if you have fewer guests.

Hi softgrey, thanks for the recipe. How many people does this serve? Is it enough for 10 as a side dish?

thanks dariana...i assure, you it is...
hee hee...sometimes i feel guilty eating food that tastes this good...it must be sinful to enjoy something this much!..lol...too many years of church!...

just another thought....asparagus would be a great thing to add as well...
trader joes has them frozen and i was surprised to find they are really tender and delicious...
so maybe mix the asparagus and peas to take it up another level...

    ;-)
