I love my silicone bakeware! ( i was attracted to red and hot pink in the stores). I have a mega-muffin pan and a round, like a layer-cake 9 inch. And also a large spatula which is heaven in teflon skillets and saucepans. (It is blue--my previous kitchen color!!)

I find silicon very useful, but if baking sugary things, the first time you use a pan it needs to be lightly oiled. If you wash them in the dishwasher, you will need to oil it the bext time you use it. Put the pan on a cookie sheet or somthing, because it will be floppy until it's cooked, and sometimes even when cooked it needs some support coming out of the oven.
