How to make it

  • Pour both cans of pie filling in a 13x9" pan.
  • Sprinkle cake mix over filling.
  • Pour butter over that, making sure no cake mix is left dry.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • The taste sensations are endless---apples and spice cake--yellow cake and whatever---use your imagination!

    I've used this with a yellow cake mix, never thought to use chocolate. *duhhhh* Its a great quick dessert.

    You would not know it to look at me but I am really not a dessert person. I can walk away from most cakes and some cookies even pies do not tremble at my name. This recipe however looked too good to pass up, it looks great.
