Orange Honey Twists

- 1 recipe of rich sour cream dough shopping list
- 1/4 cup melted butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, softened shopping list
- grated rind of 1 large orange shopping list
- 2/3 cup honey shopping list
- 2/3 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup raisins shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1 tsp heavy cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup blanched sliced almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven 350 degrees.
- Butter twp 9X5X3 inch loaf pans
- Roll the pastry into a large square 1/4 inch thick. Brush with melted butter.
- In a bowl, cream the softened butter, orange rind, honey, and nuts.
- Spread over the dough and sprinkle with raisins.
- Roll up jelly roll fashion.
- Cut with the strips in half horizontally and braid each 3 strips into a loaf.
- Place the loaves in the loaf pans.
- In a small bowl combine egg yolk and cream and brush over the loaves. Sprinkle with the almonds.
- Bake about 45 minutes or until golden.
- Remove from pans and cool on a rack. Can be frozen.
