I'm new to making my own pickled eggs. In fact I'm mid way through boiling the eggs for my first attempt.

However, even though I've looked at the recipe here for some time now, it never dawned on my until now to ask what type of sugar you are talking about when the recipe calls for 2 Tbsp.

Is it white sugar, or brown? As brown is sweeter.

So I thought I'd ask. I know I'll be extremely lucky if I get a reply to this, before I finish my eggs this time around, but I wondered if the person who posted the recipe could clarify that.. No only for me, but for anyone else who comes along and says hey, great recipe I think I'll make a batch.

    Cheers!
