How to make it

  • Brown the meat in a Dutch oven.
  • Set meat aside.
  • Saute onions for 5 minutes.
  • Add jalapeno and garlic and sauté another minute or two.
  • Add soup and 1 can of water.
  • Add beef, seasonings, and jalapeno juice.
  • Simmer for 40 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, beans, and cornstarch slurry.
  • Simmer another 20 minutes until thickened.
  • Top with your favorite garnishes and enjoy!

    This is similar to the chili I make - you can use stew meat also. (Or cubed pork) Sounds delicious, Sandy - I'd make it right now if I had thawed the beef! Maybe tomorrow. . . ;')

    Have you tried using coarse grind hamburger or just regular hamburger? The ingredients read well. JJ
