Super Salmon Burgers

- 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt shopping list
- 1 scallion chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried dill shopping list
- 15 ounce can salmon well drained and bones removed shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs shopping list
- 2/3 cup chopped white onion shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 whole wheat mini pita pockets shopping list
- 6 cups shredded romaine lettuce shopping list
How to make it
- Place yogurt, scallion and dill in small bowl and stir to mix well.
- Cover and chill until ready to serve.
- Place salmon, egg whites, bread crumbs, onion and black pepper in medium bowl and mix well.
- Shape into 4 patties about 1” thick then coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray.
- Preheat over medium high heat then add patties and cook 5 minutes on each side.
- Cut thin slice off top of each pita round and carefully open the round without separating halves.
- Place 1 burger in each pita and top with 1 tablespoon yogurt sauce and 1-1/2 cups lettuce.
- Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side.
