Caramel Apple Dip In The Microwave Recipe

Caramel Apple Dip In The Microwave Recipe
This really blows the calories, but if you want a rich, warm, caramel dip with some crisp apple slices, this will fill the bill. This dip is VERY HOT when it comes out of the microwave, so be sure it's cooled enough before letting anyone dig in!

Ingredients
  • ½ cup half-and-half
  • ¼ cup corn syrup (Karo)
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • apple slices (sprinkle slices with some Fruit Fresh to prevent the fruit from darkening)...also good with banana or pear slices

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except vanilla and apples.
  2. Microwave on High for 1 minute; stir.
  3. Cook another 3 minutes on High; stir again.
  4. Cook another 2 to 4 minutes on High.
  5. Remove from microwave, stir in vanilla and serve with apple slices. It’s good with other fruits, too - we like strawberries and pears.
  6. Note: Cooking times depend on your microwave’s power, so adjust accordingly.
