How to make it
- Fill unbaked pie shell with chopped apples. Pour above mixture over apples. Dot with butter. Bake in oven that's not too hot, maybe 300-325 degrees at least an hour or until apples are tender. Time depends on how quickly the apples cook. Sure good served with vanilla ice cream. Good hot or cold.
- Cooks Note: I recently made this recipe with a few adjustments by using a 9X13 pan and lining with 2 pie crusts, I used apples in a can, (3 cans) and added apple pie spice.
