How to make it

  • Cream together shortening,salt n brown sugar.Mix in egg then buttermilk and vanilla.Combine the dry ingredients then stir into sugar mixture.Chill one hour.
  • Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfulls 2" apart on greased bakig sheet.
  • Combine topping ingredients on top of cookies.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 7-9 minutes or until set.
  • Make apox 4 dozen cookies
